Most of what we do begins as a hot water problem and turns into something adjacent: the cylinder is fine but the valve feeding it has seized, or the fault is real but the reason it happened is a leak nobody had found. Our engineers carry the parts and hold the qualifications for the whole chain rather than the one service you booked, which is why a second visit is the exception here.
Where a repair means opening a floor, a wall or a ceiling, putting it back is part of the job and part of the price. We do not hand over a hole and a report.

The cylinder work this business is built around
Unvented cylinder repair is the centre of this list and the reason the rest of it looks the way it does. A sealed cylinder holding mains pressure is the component most trades will decline, so the properties that have one tend to be handed between people until somebody turns up who can actually open it. Everything on this page that touches a cylinder points back at that page.
Around it sit the jobs that need the same competence rather than a different trade. Unvented cylinder service is the scheduled check that keeps the safety components honest, and it is the visit that catches the discharge faults before they become a soaked airing cupboard. Unvented cylinder installation is where a unit is past sensible repair and a new one goes in. Hot water cylinder replacement is the broader version of that decision, covering vented and stored systems as well, and it is the page for somebody who has not yet decided whether they are repairing or replacing.
G3 qualified plumber sets out what that competence actually covers and how somebody can confirm a plumber holds it before any work starts. It stays on the credential and on the check a customer can make for themselves. The page is deliberately about the person, not about the paperwork sitting behind the qualification.
Leaks, and the pipework nobody wants to dig up
Leak detection and repair is the other half of the work and the half people underestimate. A hot water fault that keeps coming back after two visits is very often a leak nobody has located yet, and finding water inside a structure without opening every floor in the property is a separate skill from fixing the pipe once you have found it. That page is where the water escape work on this site collects.
Burst pipe repair is the urgent version, where the water is already out and the question is how fast it stops. Pipe grouting and no dig repair is the case where the run sits under a solid floor, a driveway or something nobody wants taken up, and it is the reason a failed pipe under a kitchen does not automatically mean a rebuilt kitchen.
The units people already know the name of
Immersion heater repair and replacement is one of the few jobs customers ask for by name, usually because the cylinder has an immersion and somebody has already worked out that the element or its thermostat has gone. It is a small job and we say so.
Pulsacoil repair in London is the other. A Pulsacoil is a thermal store rather than a boiler, common in purpose built blocks, and it has no fault code to give anybody, so the symptoms read as a dead system when the fault is an immersion, a pump or the control board inside the unit. Reading how a pulsacoil works first saves a lot of people the assumption that the whole unit needs replacing.
